![]() ![]() On the last night of the tour, Michael announced to the surprise of the crowd (and his own family) that the Victory Tour was their “farewell tour”. Sadly, the ongoing behind-the-scenes tension between Michael and his brothers during this tour eventually led to him to leaving the group. The album was more or less essentially released to support the record-breaking Victory Tour, which was also supported by Michael’s blockbuster solo album Thriller. Randy was not part of the original Jackson 5 lineup, and Jermaine (who stayed at Motown when the group departed for Epic) officially re-joined his brothers after their reunion at the Motown 25 TV special in 1983.ĭespite the fact that all 6 brothers are on this album (and they all sing lead vocals on at least one song), most of these songs were created individually. Released in 1984, this is the first and only album to have all 6 Jackson brothers as “official” members of the group. The 5th studio album by The Jacksons on Epic Records.
